Flexible Development Boards with PCI

apflat

The ARM Integrator/AP ASIC Development Platform is designed for hardware and software development of devices and systems based on ARM cores and the AMBA bus specification.

ASIC Development Platform key features

  • Support for up to 5 Core or Logic Modules
  • A wide range of ARM cores can be plugged in, making this one of the most flexible development boards available
  • 32MB of Flash
  • 512K SSRAM
  • Boot ROM
  • Standard system peripherals in System Controller FPGA:
    • ARM PrimeCell keyboard, mouse and serial (2 ports) controllers and real-time clock
    • 3 counter timers, 32-bit general purpose I/O, interrupt controller, external bus interface
  • PCI host-bridge controller
  • 3 standard PCI slots with clock generation and arbitration
  • PCI to PCI bridge
  • CompactPCI connector and system slot functions for connecting other development boards or peripherals
  • Memory expansion connector

System Expansion

apblock

The Integrator/AP is designed to fit in a standard ATX size PC chassis using standard mounting holes and power connectors. The board has the option to fit a CompactPCI connector allowing it to slot into a CompactPCI rack, although it is longer than a standard CompactPCI card.

This form factor allows a variety of systems to be constructed, with the PC case providing the mechanical stability required for plug-in PCI expansion cards. For systems that require CompactPCI, this board also provides a migration platform. The board is fully compliant with the PCI Local Bus specification.
