Integrator/LM Logic Module
Integrator Logic Modules provide uncommitted FPGAs connected to the AMBA system bus. They use the same form factor and connector layout as Core Modules and are designed to plug onto a platform board or Core Module allowing users to prototype, test and integrate ARM PrimeCell Peripherals or their own hardware IP.
Integrator Logic Modules support the most commonly used FPGAs. The first two modules from ARM are based on Altera devices and the XILINX Virtex XCV range supporting up to 1 million gates.
Logic Module key features
- 256K SSRAM
- General purpose LEDs and switches
- 2 clock generators
- Prototyping area connected to FPGA
- Supports standard AC97MDC daughter cards
- FPGA programming via Multi-ICE (JTAG) or manufacturers' tools
- Example AMBA HDL code provided
- Two 32-bit connectors for logic analyzer (connected directly to FPGA pins)
Modules can run standalone but it is likely that for most applications they will be plugged onto a platform board. ARM offers platform boards targeted at ASIC and standard software application developers.
