RealView Development Tools
ARM's RealView tools have been the industry standard for many years, and are relied on by a large community of engineers. ARM provides software toolkits, ICE and trace units and high-end development boards. Bluewater Systems offers the entire range of ARM-related products. All products come with a 12 months support and maintenance arrangement, which can be extended annually.
Software Toolkits
ARM has integrated everything you need to develop code for the ARM into a single package. The following software toolkits are provided:
- RealView Development Suite - industry standard C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, debugger, simulator with Eclipse IDE
- RealView Development Suite Professional - adds NEON vectorising compiler for SIMD media and signal processing, link-time code generation, advanced profiling and real-time modelling
Software Debug Tools
- RealView ICE — high performance ICE unit connects your target to your host
- RealView Trace 2 — High performance cost-effective trace solution
- Fast Models - super-fast software models for Cortex cores as well as ARM9, ARM11
Development / Prototyping Boards
Software toolkits will be required for the Integrator and Versatile range (see above).- Versatile — Hardware and software integration platform based on ARM926EJ-S / ARM11 MPCore / ARM1176JZF-S and high-end FPGA technology
Other tools
Some special products are available for particular markets:
- RVCT for Brew 3.0 - a toolkit specifically for Qualcomm's Brew environment
Legacy Solutions
These are no longer sold by ARM, but DesignARM has some stock. Please contact us if you are looking for Multi-ICE, Integrator, etc.
- Integrator — Hardware and software integration platform which supports most ARM cores and logic integration using FPGA technology
- MultiTrace — high speed 200MHz full address and data tracing
- Multi-ICE - the hugely successful parallel port ICE which started the ICE revolution on ARM
- ADS - ARM Developer Suite - this is now obsolete but is still available for legacy projects
