Rig 200 Bluetooth Plus Option
The Rig 200 Bluetooth Plus Option is a small (15mm x 35mm) board comprised of a self-contained class 1 Bluetooth module and an antenna. The Bluetooth option connects into a pin header at the top right of the Rig 200 board. It can be securely attached using a supplied stand-off and screws.
The Bluetooth option is controlled by a UART on the Snapper module which operates at TTL (3.3V) levels to save power. Under Linux or Windows CE the Bluetooth option can perform the following functions:
- Attach to a headset for audio transfer
- Attach to a cellphone for GPRS Internet
- Connect to a custom Bluetooth device to allow communication around a system (i.e. the Rig 200 Location Plus Module). For example, this can replace a serial or USB connection with a wireless connection
- Scan for available devices in the immediate area
